A friend just brought me a Model 10-5 with the hammer spur broken off asking if I could put a new hammer in for him. After looking in Numrich and Brownells I can only find hammers listed for Models 10, 10-7, 10-8, 10-9, 10-10, and 10-11. Would any of you fellas know if the hammers are interchangable with the 10-5. By the way, the hammer width is .265". Thanks.

S&W K-frame hammers are interchangable to a point. You'll need to know if your revolver has a hammer mounted firing pin or is one of the later frame mounted ones. If in doubt, call Brownell's Technical support dept. and ask them.
