I have several stainless 70's... I dislike how "clunky" the bottom metal is and how the two-piece floorplate and trigger guard "interact"... Has anyone used the One-Piece Model 70 set-up... I was looking at it in Brownells... it appears to be more streamlined and maybe even a bit lighter.

Thanks,

Brad

I have installed several, they are a little more robust, stronger, etc. and look very nice, as if they belong on a DGR. Require a little inletting, both for width and depth. If you already have pillars in the stock, you will need to remove them and make a new set. I highly recommend the Williams products.

The Williams pieces are pretty nice for the money. The factory stainless pieces can be reshaped and end up quite nice but it's a chore. There is roughly twice as much metal as in a pre-64 floorplate and guard. Just easier to cast that way I guess. Regards, Bill.

I just got a new Winchester Super Grade. It has the Williams floor plate. It is so much easier to take off and assemble. The bottom actually opens every time I push the button, not like the two piece that sticks.

Williams has a web site where they display their stuff. All of my guns are going to have one of these.
