Wow!
That Hagn is a popular action! Must be a good reason. First Dakota & now Searcy.

and don't forget the Mexican Rigby single shot (aka-Hagn)

Of course it is nothing but personal preference, but the Searcy is the worst looking of the lot to my tastes. By a large margin. I prefer the way Martini and Hagn do them.

Once you handle a Hagn you will want no other.

I didn't realize Dakota used the Hagn action. I thought they designed their own.

They had the Hagn Patent drawings and a Hagn barreled action for reference in the shop when the current #10 was being drafted. The previous proto version of the 10 looked very similar on the outside, and completely different inside. The way the hammer/trigger works on the current 10 was copied from the Hagn. Not that Hagn was given any credit.

The guy that color cased the Searcy asked me if I'd seen the new Searcy single shot. I said "No". He said "it looks like a Hagn". He also had a side plate version of Searcy double that he had cased and the colors looked fantastic!!!

I'm not picking on Dakota or Searcy here about copying the Hagn. I'm just pointing out, for many good reasons, the Hagn is used for reference.

Just for clarification, I didn't copy Hagn or anyone else. I bought the rights to this action from the widow of the man that in turn had bought the rights from the original designer, who is from S.C. From what I have been able to find this action was designed in the early 90's. And it is my understanding that the original designer had spoken to Martin Hagn and was given his blessing to proceed to market his design.
Since I got it I've made some changes that I feel has improved the function and outward appearance also.
As far as the stock style on the rifle pictured it is only one style of many available.
Prices start at $8500.00 and go up. And the take down version starts $12,500.00.
I'm in no way trying to compete with Ralf and Martin. There work is impeccable. I only intend to produce 6 or 7 rifles per year. My backlog of doubles won't allow me to take on anymore work than that.

The Stalking Rifle is available in most any caliber from 470 N.E. and down, and this includes the rimless cartridges.
I will not sell actions or barreled actions separately. Complete rifles only!
