Hi All
Haven't posted for a long time but have been lurking about! Thought I would share some pictures of my latest pride and joy. Hope you enjoy them.
Details as follows:
.270 Win, Blackburn bottom metal and trigger, PME 2 pos safety, custom bolt handle with 3 checkered panels, custom windage adjustable fold down/up ghost ring peep site, re contoured square bridges, 24" bbl, a little bit of engraving and gold inlay work, warne qd rings fairly extensively modified. All work done to my exact specifications by Rob de Vries and Ross Waghorn who work very well together. Any guesses on the action used? Chic? Jack? Ray?
Cheers.
GG

GG375,
A rifle to be proud of. Very nice work.
Is the peep regulated for one load or is it adjustable.
You have a right to be proud of this rifle.

GG375,

Beutiful Rifle !!.

Bob DeVries did the metal work on my .585 Nyati, his work is fantastic isn't it. I just want to get more cash to give him more projects I have in mind.

Very nice GG. Does she have a name? I feel that all fine rifles should have a name. [Smile]

Peep site is adjustable for windage only. Any adjustment for elevation would require the changing of the bead in the foresite - a fairly easy job - press a button and slide bead out and replace with one higher or lower.
Bear Claw
Haven't really got a particular name for her - any suggestions would be appreciated. Gorgeous springs to mind.

Grahame, good to see you alive and kicking. That is gorgeous. Is that one of your Argentines? I love that pop up peep sight. I have lost Russel's email - again. Seems like I can't hold onto it. Had some computer problems and lost quite a bit.

Get that rifle out in the bush and do some shooting. I want to see some beauty marks on it.

Hi Chic
She's a beauty eh? And have no fear she's no virgin and has 32 kills so far (boars, brumby's and dingoes).
Will have to get Russells email address again myself - lost everything when my hard drive died.
No the action is not an Argentine but I'll wait and see what Jack or Ray reckon before telling.
Cheers

Since she's an Aussie and will see a great deal of use might I suggest Matilda. She's beautiful but she has a job to do, girl after my own heart. [Big Grin]

Grahame, if I can have a second guess, I remember you had a BRNO 21 or 22 with the square bridges. And now that I see it was recontoured square bridges I am "amending" my first guess. Think you also traded Jack for some different bottom metal but I see this has Blackburn.

I just took a BRNO 22 to Africa. It had the DST and in fact Russel got it for me when he was in Canada. It is in 7X57 and it will be my primary deer rifle for some time to come.

Yep Chic and fla3006 - you guys are too good. 1955 Brno mod 21 action.

Matilda sounds pretty good to me CritrChik although being the typical ocker that I am I will no doubt shorten that to 'Tilda. Thanks anyway.
Cheers
