| I never had any work done by Klaus but watched him work quite a bit when we were both working with Guncraft; I, in Kamloops and he, along with his late wife Hiedi Marie, in Kelowna. This was about 26 or 27 years ago. Klaus was, at the time, primarily a stockmaker although he also did some custom metalwork (sights, grip caps, etc.). He was/is a skilled craftsman and very good with a checkering tool and fast. On top of that, he was a darn nice guy. Regards, Bill. |

Agreed. Not to mention that his wife Heidi is (was?) a perfectionist too, and one of the best engravers of the last century in my opinion. If she is still alive, I doubt she would let anything less than super quality out the door with the Hiptmayer name on it. |

| I have seen both of their work in magazine articles and gun digests over the years...beautiful and impecable works of art and among the best there is...anywhere. If Heidi has pass on, the world of gun enthusiasts would be at a loss. People with their talent are becoming rarer with each passing year. |
