The NECG front band sights come in the white so I need to blue the one I just purchased.
Any recommendations for a cold blue that I can do myself?

I would send it out and have it done before I would cold blue it. That said, Brownells Oxpho Blue is about as durable as cold blues get...

I plan on bluing either late this week or early next week. Send it to me and I'll throw it in the the tank for you.

Thank you for the offer! I'll pm you.

Since this barrel band is a tight fit and it has to be stretched on with a plastic mallet, will hitting it with the mallet hurt the bluing?

Usually won't scratch the bluing but sometimes can deform the metal so easy does it.
