I have an old 30-06 chambered barrel that I've thought about for a few years on using to make a lightweight BP "walking in the woods" rifle, just wondered if anyone has ever tried or seen it done and if so, did it shoot reasonably? I have one of the Lee 113 gr soupcan molds that I think would be appropriate. Not looking to hunt anything big but something like squirrels through coyotes at 50-75 yards type of project. Also, I remember seeing an English M/L rifle once that had similar lines to a Rook Rifle and also had the ramrod stored in the stock instead of under the barrel but I cannot find any pictures now nor do I know what that style was called. All I remember is that it was an English gunmaker like Rigby or H&H. Anyway, does anyone have an idea what those were called? Thanks! mark for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside | ||
