Hello folks. A friend of mine asked me a question that I did not know the answer to so I told him that I would ask the experts. He has a Winchester model 94-22 that is the standard 22LR. He was wondering if it could be rechambered to 22 WMR.

Thanks for the help...X

I don't doubt that it could be, but I'm also sure it would be less expensive to simply buy one in .22 WMR. I've had a couple in .22 WMR, and they shot much better than I expected. Incidentally, I just bought a brand new CZ in .22 WMR a few days ago, and it's very disappointing - the 9422 would have outshot it, and my ancient, very scabby Mossberg 640 shoots far smaller groups.

Let's take this one back to the top. Surely one of our gunsmiths can answer this question.

How about it Malm?
