Stripper
Certistrip Wood Stripper.haha. Coated this 3 times and only softened the hi-gloss. Had to use a scraper , still not done.
Stock looks almost black before. The grip cap is painted black.

Since they banned methylene chloride all the strippers suck. I have had some luck with a mixture of xylene, acetone, lacquer thinner, and methyl alcohol. Equal parts.

it's been a year or three, but i swear i saw quart cans of MEK in Home Depot ...

back when i owned a commercial/industrial coatings company, I bought MEK by the 4x55gal drum

MEK is 'on the shelf' at Lowes and Home Depot in Oklahoma, as is xylene.
