Opening Winchester's CRPF boltface?

Has anyone tried opening the boltface on Winchester's new bolt? Looks the same as the push feed to me, with the bottom cutaway. Does anyone foresee any special problems trying to open this little guy up.
Trying to figure out which action to buy for 2 1/3" Lapua wildcat. I'm finding the CRPF a bit cheaper, and I hear the whole point was to facilitate easier feeding of short/fatties, so it might be the way to go.
Thanks, as usual.

I have not yet worked on one of these but it looks like a piece of cake to me. Regards, Bill.

Bwana_be,

The bolt dameter at the face is @0.690. With the wssm case the flange around the rim is 0.074" thick. With your case the flange thickness would be reduced to @ 0.052". I don't know if any of that matters, but that is what would happen.

Best of luck,

TBP
