Crane, Montana, gunsmith?

I seek CONTACT of the gunsmith (or dedicated hobbyist). This man might be available to complete several gunsmithing jobs. While he may not be an FFL holder, he'll have access to one. And the jobs can be shipped. Crane is on the extreme central east edge of Montana so I'm thinking that a "road trip" is not something Laurie would tolerate.

If no one can help, another gunsmith, or dedicated hobbyist who will be available within the next couple of months would be welcome.

I recommend you enumerate and describe the SOWs, because even the top end Gunsmiths, and we all know who they are, do not do everything.

Excellent idea. Should have done describing jobs up front.

Work wanted:
- Install Lyman 66 on Rossi 92

- Install Redfield 70 on different Rossi 92

- strip soft soldered assemblies from Mauser 98

- Replace/weld bolt handle of same Mauser 98.

Easy stuff but the shipping will kill you which is why you are looking locally.

Correct in detail. My problem is time. In one instance, the gunsmith being the usual one-man shop, was 22 months out. And after two years, he returned the rifle. He was still too far behind and he felt guilty.

And I still need the work done. . . which brings me back to my query.
