Rate of twist ?

I will be haveing two custom rifles built
One in .308 and one in .284
The .308 will be bullets 150 gn to 165gn only!
THE .284 WILL be bullets 140gn only!
what is the best twist rate for these bullets?
And while we are at it ,anyone have a Thought
on which 300 ,300 H&H ,300 win,300winsm,300rem ultra? used for Elk and smaller. Thanks!

Some things just work....and I'd stick with it.

The 30 cal 1-10" twist although a 1-12 will do fine as well.

On the 7mm I'd go 1-9" but you could easily go with 1-10" as well.

There's little to no advantage to go to a slower twist even though it seems there should be!

The best 30 cal for elk and smaller is still the 30-06 but any of the mags you mention will not let you down.
