Talley Question
Has anybody used the two piece Talley made "Ruger" Bases with a set of Ruger rings on a Mauser 98????

I wanted Dual Dovetails, but apparently they are unavailable.

Yep, got a set on a Mark X 338. Not as strong as Talley, not QDR, takes a little fiddeling with the windage/clamp screws, but lots of windage adjustment. And the NECG backup sight will fit.

Yes I put a set on a VZ24 based .458 WM. They are low enough to use the iron sights with the scope removed and the scope returns to zero when replaced [Big Grin]

I will be using them for a VZ-24 action and .35 Whelen!

The action is off being recontoured, polished, trigger and shroud..

Why don't you use talley bases on that Mauser they basically square bridge a Mauser, or have it double square bridged then cut for Talley rings and bases???
