I bought it for the action, to have a custom built made sometime in the future. I'm going to be parting out the rest of the gun to recoup some of the money I spent to purchase it.

I wonder if it's worth it for me to keep the bottom metal (floorplate and triggerguard)? I have a feeling that it would be cheaper to buy new bottom metal than to pay the gunsmith to modify the existing parts, especially on something like a .404 Jeffery.

Should I sell the trigger too since it will proabaly be replaced?

What's the right stuff here?

Recoil Rob, your best bet with something like the bottom metal would be Ebay. The triggers are a dime a dozen and I will soon have enough to buy a cup of coffee. the value is in the action, the rest is litter. You may find someone who wants the stock though.

Rob,

E-mail me if you want to unload any parts. Always looking for nice military Mauser parts.

Thanks,
Todd
