I have an opportunity to buy a Browning BLR with steel receiver in 7mm Rem Mag. Is it feasible to remove the barrel and have it rebored to 375 Ruger? It is my understanding that all of the long action BLRs have lugs that lock into the barrel and not the receiver. I also understand that a rebarrel of them is almost impossible because of the lug seats being in the barrel, hence my question of can the barrel be removed and rebored? Some of the information I have found says that it is difficult to separate the barrel and receiver without damage.

I had a 30.06 rebored to .35 Whelen, no issues. Cliff LaBounty did it but I suppose .35caliber.com could do it too.
