I have a customer that wants me to put some new sights on his Ruger Red Label. He does a lot of Duck/Goose hunting and would like to have better sight visibility at dawn and dusk.

He wants something permanent and solid, something bright like a fiber optic.

Suggestions?

I buy Mauser actions, parts, micrometers, tools, calipers, etc. Specifically looking for pre-WWII Mauser tools.

I have the tritium big dot sight from XS sights on my 870. Great sight for upland birds and waterfowl. However, it is a bit fat for turkeys past 35-40 yards. Trijicon's night sights have a smaller dot and are pretty bright on the pistols that I have them on. Using just the front sight may work on a shotgun.

The drawback is that both of these are pricey alternatives.
