What are the neatest mounts to get a 2.5-8 Leupold really low down on a Remington model 7 (260 Rem), and not cover the ejection port? Does any one have a link or photo. Thanks, Mike

I like the Talley LW's in low. They are not as low as some others but are low enough and I tend to get down on a gun pretty hard. Super low mounts are fine for some shooting styles but not so great for others.

Here is a picture of the Talley LW's in medium height. The scope is a Leupold 2x7x33. I like the mounting height and the ejection port isn't covered at all.

Talley LW's are what I have on my Model 7. I like 'em. Don

Thanks for the info, guys. Duckboat do you find that the scope is far enough foward?

Mike, the scope seems far forward enough for me and is just about in the same position as I keep the scopes on my other guns. You probably saw I don't have much choice on moving it more forward. If I were shooting a cartridge that kicked hard maybe I would want it more forward, but that's not a concern with my gun.
