Bought a McMillan Hunter, mag fill stock for a M70 from a member here some time ago. This stock came unfinished and w/o swivels or insets for swivels.

Barrel of the gun going in this stock has a barrel band swivel, I'm looking to install a rear swivel stud only. Any suggestions on how to approach this? Drill it and use a wood-screw type stud? Drill it and put a 10-32 insert in making sure that the insert is adhered (epoxy) to the fiberglass outer shell?

Drill it & use the wood screw swivel stud. McMillians are strengthened at the toe area for the purpose of installing a swivel stud.

I have had good luck installing an inset QD sling fitting, and also using a, "Gun Nut II" installation from Brownells. I was liberal with use of the epoxy.
