Are ther any modifications that can be made to a Browning BAR Safari that will make it more reliable/dependable in a cold and/or dirty environment?

It's a semi auto with a lot of parts. More chances for things to go wrong in cold weather. They are pretty tight which doesn't help reliability when they become too dirty. A good dry lube in the winter and keep it clean.
