Just bought a Savage 93 in .22WMR. Nice little rifle, but the trigger is horrendous. Not only is it stiff, it's rough. Would appreciate any help on making this trigger more user friendly.

If you go to the Savage Shooters forum or to RimfireCentral forum, they both have "stickies" showing you how to do this. I've just completed two 93s, one a lefty for me, and a righty for my buddy. Both came out with 2lb/4oz triggers that are pretty crisp. I also drilled the trigger guard (plastic) and inserted a hex screw that acts as an overtravel adjustment. Only problem with this mod is you have to unscrew it to remove the bolt for cleaning. Trigger has to be pulled allll the way to the rear to allow the bolt out.
