I see Century has these actions for sale:

Santa Barbaras

but as I don't have an FFl they won't quote me a price. Apparently they only have "goods" and "poors" available. I'm interested in one, has anyone dealt with them in these grades recently and know what they're getting for them? Thanks a million!

I have a rifle with a action like this link.

It says "sears heritage mark IV supreme"

Has a Santa Barbara action like what snowcat posted.

You can see the littl interlocked CP on the barrel up against the reciever top.

The seller says its a JC Higgins barrel, but its not, his is stampedjust like mine.

Just interesting ,Sears sold these at one time.

I believe the action is stripped of bottom metal, trigger, safety, guard screws, spring and follower.

plan opn adding $150 to get it complete.

I believe the price was $130 so with shipping you'll look at $300 (or more) for an action.

I just called them and they are sold out.

Sold out? Darn! I got my Santa Barbara Mauser action from a kit gun imported by CVA in the 80's.

Over the years it's changed from a .30-06 to a 9.3x62. It's a really nice action for the $20 I paid for the kit Big Grin

Wish I had a few more...

Century just sent me an email about those yesterday.

They are pushing the engraved and double trigger models.

I don't know for sure but these actions were said to be brittle.
