Advice Re: S&W 18-3
Shoot it a lot, however it has developed a problem (not an issue Smiler ) with ejecting empty .22's. After the 4th or 5th cylinder full has been shot it becomes so hard to eject the empties that I have to push the eject rod against the bench to empty the cylinder. Thorough cleaning helps but only for 4/5 cylinders.

Looking for advice: what to do? Or who to send it to?

Probably approaching 30 different brands/loads. Including Lapua & Eley (most labels). Don't believe it's an ammo problem.

Thanks

I would look for a build up of fouling in the cylinder that normal cleaning well not remove.

what p dog said .. fouling or surface corrosion - aquila SSS tend to do this to me.. 2 cylinders, and the 3rd won't come out without effort

S&W is noted for using exceptionally tight chambers on their .22's. I reamed the chambers in my 617 with a standard .22lr reamer to fix the extraction problem. If anything the accuracy is slightly better with the reamed chambers.
