I have a Savage Stryker in 308win and want to rechamber to a 30-416 Rigby Imp to get velocities of maybe a 300 Ultra in a compact version. You might think this insane but I have access to the reamer and can get dies for 60 bucks too. It would be single shot of course.

Can you buy a Rigby size bolt face for them or does one have to open the existing face up for this large of one, I know they have barrels for the chambered in 338 Lapua now so that is why I ask.

Are the barrel thread size and length the same for the 110, 112, 116 and the 516 Stryker?

Also, the threads are the same among the rifles, I just don't know about the Striker.

Brownells sells ".223," "standard," and "magnum" boltheads. I can tell you that my 'smith opened up the .300 Winchester Magnum bolthead to accommodate my .338/378 Weatherby Magnum, if this information helps.

All the parts from the Savage model 10 fit all of the centerfire Strikers. Model 110 parts fit as well, except that the 10 and the Striker are short actions, so the 110 bolt wouldn't work. All you have to do is change the bolt head for your larger case. Barrels swap no problem.

i am not sure but i think the rigby and the lazzeroni share the same rim dimensions. you might want to check savage for availability of that bolt head. it would then be a direct swap.
you need help if that is your idea of fun! :} {cant get the smileys to post}
enjoy

Thanks for all the feedback guys, the only other Savage I've owned was a 99 in 308win. The project will go forward as soon as I make sure the dies will work with the reamer I'll use. It will be a handfull for sure!

Vidios will be a must when this beast gets to the firing line, ya think? [Big Grin] I'll try to get it finished this next month. I hope the $60. dies will work out for me on this.
