About a 24-months I bought an as new, probably new -orignal owner told me he never fired it but had lost box and stuff- a Remington stainless LVSF/308 with blind stock...adl stock?

Recently, I bought a NICE looking VLS stock, Brown laminate and when the LVSF barreled action is put into the VLS stock: it's absolutely STUNNING in appearance...look's like a $10,000 dollar rifle.

So I'd like to 'move' the blind, adl stock and stay with this VLS stock. No mag body, No bottom metal, no screws.

I took the bottom metal off my 700/VSSF/308 and tried 2 put it on the VLS stock. Fitting is fine BUT...it seems the mag body in the LVSF seems to be longer and the bottom metal from the VSSF will not fit.

So I think I have to find a mag body which is 'shorter'...
