How much to torque scope mount screws?
Burris teck. gave a 80in.lb max. Using their plastic insert mounts on scope rings?
Can this be right? Thanks Link

I'm sure he must have said "eight", not eighty. I use 8 to 12 in/lbs on the rings, 30 in/lbs on the bases with torx screws and 20/24 in/lbs on the allen heads.

Nope he told me 80 in. lb. When I have time I will post the nightmare I had with a new Burris handgun scope.

Sounds like you guys are getting inch lbs and foot lbs mixed up. 80 inch pounds doesn't sound unreasonable, either would 8 foot pounds. I'm afraid 8 inch pounds wouldn't hold much though.
