We've all run into the outrageus over use of loc tite.

A client put me on to a product called "Un Cure" He claims it disolved red loc tite without bluing damage.

I may be the last to hear about it, but thought I'd pass it on anyway

I have never had a problem with loc tite; I use a product called propane. You light it, and it turns blue. It will kill loctite every time.
And will not damage blued steel.

Thanks, could come in real handy. A few ally trigger units that I’ve removed were loctited to the action and were brutal to undo.

Well..as an alternative, you could always fire up an acetylene torch...(Grin)

I use a red hot cheap screwdriver ground to fit. the flame never touches the blueing the heated screw driver held in the slot until it bubbles the glass and pops loose its grip in the threads..Works every time so far..

Ive also used one of those kitchen torches with a tiny blue flame on the top of the screw and it too work well.

Sometimes a heat gun does the trick. Save the propane for soldering.
