Can someone explain , in detail, the process of shaping the kickoff so that the effort required to fire is minimum. Thank you.

Easier is for you to look at a set and you will see the geometry of the front trigger which must pull straight forward and not cam the rear one any.
Or buy a DST made for a flintlock and copy it. Then aren't expensive.
