Does anyone know the receiver ring diameter on the Zastava (Interarms / Charles Daly etc) mini Mauser actions?

I'm going to have my Charles Daly mini Mauser action turned into a trim sporter chambered in 222 Rem. It's now time to order a barrel and I need to work out the barrel shank (cylinder) diameter. I'm thinking something like a 0.08" step down from receiver ring to start of barrel. Unfortunately I don’t have the action with me to measure for myself.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have one to measure. "Bolt Action Rifles" calls the reciver ring diameter as 1.195".

Thanks for looking that up.

Just wondering if anyone else has an actual action on hand to measure the receiver ring diameter and/or the barrel shank diameter in front of the receiver face.

My 22-250 measures 1.185.

Hi Stu,

This one falls into that range depending on where you measure. It is ground above stock-line so it measures slightly less 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock, than it does 12 to 6. 1.190 / 1.195
