Its for a Belgium (1969) A5 3" 12ga...Not sure if the 3" takes a different forearm than the 2 3/4" version??...Anyway,a decent used forearm is what I am looking for, mine is cracked to much....Thanks! Smiler

Try these guys.

They also list A-5 stocks and fore-ends on Ebay on a regular basis and they go for a lot less than their direct list price.

Dear Safarikid:

Brownells catalog #61, page 456, part number 149-005-170AB, and you are good to go.

William Berger is right, also. I half heartedly bid on one of the Midwest 12 mag A5 forearms yesterday on e-bay, and lost of course. I just wanted a spare.

It appears that Midwest does have them, too.

Sincerely,

I have one that fit the 2 3/4" A5. DOn't know if it is the one for the mag though. It was cracked but I fixed it and should be OK. I can ship it to you for $45 and if it don't work you can return it. Email me please.

Someone chime in here on whether or not it is the same as the one for the mag.

Jim

Dear Jim:

It appears that the A5 12 magnum forearm is different from the standard A5 forearm.

This is born out by different part numbers and descriptions in the Brownells catalog and by looking at my A5 and A5 Magnum forearms. The standard A5 forearm is relieved less, and has more wood internally, covering the front of the magazine tube.

The A5 12 magnum forearm has more wood removed that covers the front of the magazine tube.

I guess you could modify the standard forearm though, but it would be some work.

I can see why the A5 12 magnum forearm cracks, there isn't much wood up front.

Sincerely,

Chris Bemis
