I like the 600 in 222 sans the rib and have no use for the Cooper concept, and took a rasp to that Rem stock..Made one for my kids, grand kids and passed it down to the great grand kids with a 2.5X WEaver scope mounted on the factory D&T. I didn,t agree with Cooper on much, but to each his own.. Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com | |||

Great rifles! I have 222 Remington 600, probably would shoot a little better if bedded, but don't want to alter. Still shoots less than 1". Also have a 600 in 350 Rem Mag (man, some recoil in that little rifle). And a Mohawk in 308 Win. I agree, if you don't mine altering do a 223 Wylde vs 222 Rebarrel. You can get a reproduction bottom metal from Numrich in metal. Keep the original if you ever sell. I have one of the Numrichs and it's nice. I also have a heritage version, not as nice.
