Just bought my first synthetic/stainless rifle, a REM 700 SS in 280. I want to fix blemishes in the stock and was figuring on useing very fine wet/dry sandpaper. Any comments or suggestions?
Also, I need to clean up the metal. I have no idea how to go about this task so any tips you have would be appreciated. Thanks

For the Stainless Steel, a Scotch Brite pad is excellent! Just wipe it in one direction. Go 'til it looks good too you... or, you could take it to a bluing shop and have it bead blasted for a dull, matte silver look.
