There are some new M70 stocks out there for sure. If you buy a SS Classic watch out.

My M70 Classic Stainless came in a injection molded synthetic that was as floppy in the forearm as any stock I have ever seen. Mind you, it is a few years ago I got that rifle, so new stocks may be different, I sure hope so. I'm having that stock replaced with a Brown Precision I had lying around at home.

If you'll PM me I send you one that is bedded and ready to go. You pay for packaging and shipping. I've got both a short action and a long action that I won't be using.

I've free floated them all. The forends are floppy and if you're not careful they'll bend and make contact with the barrel when it sits on a rest. Plays hell with groups. A couple of guys have indicated they have filled the forend with bedding compound and inserted some rods for stiffening. It's just easier to bed the chamber and float the rest of the barrel.
