OK Guys, Am getting my barrelled action back from Douglas this week ... is a .458 AR build on a Parker-Hale action. Has a 22" heavier than normal barrel installed. Rick R's .458 WM factory Parker-Hale has two. The front one is drilled and threaded for a bolt through the stock. (He has had it rechambered for .458 Lott.) How many recoil lugs are appropriate for this caliber rifle? Where should they be located? Any sense in putting them at natural vibration nodes on the barrel (e.g. 1/2 and 1/4 of the barrel length)? I also need to open up the rails for the larger cartridge as it was originally a 7mm Rem Mag. Any recommendations for the length of the underside cut from the back of the magazine? Sure do appreciate it Guys! Mike -------------- DRSS, Womper's Club, NRA Life Member/Charter Member NRA Golden Eagles ... Knifemaker, http://www.mstarling.com | ||
