| I had my smith drill and tap my cz mounts to take leupold torx head screws...the cz screws where a different pitch if I remember write. The slotted screws for holdind them on to the rifle I had replaced with two high tensile hex head screws from a specialist bolt shop. Hope this helps. |

| Those screws are terrible. They are slotted and unhardened and it is unbelievably easy to completely shear the heads off of them (as you seem to have discovered, and as I did, too).
I had my gunsmith drill and tap the holes out to a standard 8-40 thread size and now use hardened hex head bolts. Now I can really torque them down and they hold up well. |
