Anybody know where I can get a screw for a CZ mount (for a 527, 223)? Had a bad screw, broke off, but I was able to get what was left out of the hole. Hate to buy new mounts ($50) when all I need is a screw. Thanks!

I had my smith drill and tap my cz mounts to take leupold torx head screws...the cz screws where a different pitch if I remember write. The slotted screws for holdind them on to the rifle I had replaced with two high tensile hex head screws from a specialist bolt shop. Hope this helps.

Those screws are terrible. They are slotted and unhardened and it is unbelievably easy to completely shear the heads off of them (as you seem to have discovered, and as I did, too).

I had my gunsmith drill and tap the holes out to a standard 8-40 thread size and now use hardened hex head bolts. Now I can really torque them down and they hold up well.
