I am posting this in African forum also. It is a gratis triggergaurd unit for Craig Boddington. He will be the keynote speaker at the NW Chapter of SCI. Their banquet is the 31st of this month. Try to make it if you can. The TG is a Williams unit for a short action Remington 700. As an aside, the Williams rig looks very well done, to me. Plus, they are quite reasonable in cost compared to some of the others.

Exquisite. How much would a comparable job like this cost?
Is that Kehr scroll, or is that McKenzie scroll?

blue,

You get high marks for knowing your scroll, and engravers.

To answer your question, it is both Kehr and McKenzie and neither. Truely, it is English scroll from the Victorian period that has evolved into the present form. However, it was McKenzie who made it popular (again) and was probably the best at engravng it.

Regarding cost....The whole triggergaurd will be 800 quid. I'll post the rest of the gaurd tomorrow.
