Anyone have info on these actions regarding how they compare to earlier 98's?

Same material; low carbon steel, but more uniform heat treatment than was available for the pre WW1 Mausers. I consider the ones made in the 30s to be some of the best Mausers. Unless it is a chinese made one.

Thanks D. I've got a NOS VZ 24 bbl + sights and stockset with all metal. I can get a 1908/34 action and was wondering if it was equal or near a VZ 24.

Since the 08/34 Brazilians were made at BRNO, they are the same thing as the VZ24.
