I was recently given two Mexican M1936 actions that are in overall very good condition but lack firing pins & cocking pieces. Are there other firing pins that can be adapted to the Mexican bolt, or are there other intermediate length bolts--like the Yugo M24--that could possibly be altered to fit? Some years ago, I adapted a Turk M9103 bolt to fit a Mexican action, and while the dimensions/length of the forward part of the bolt was longer than the Mexican bolt, the breech of the barrel was counterbored to clear the slightly longer bolt. Thanks for the suggestions.

The 24 FP is longer than the Mex and has the internal safety interlock, but it can be altered to fit the Mex.

That's real gun to know. I was looking for some Mexicam Mauser bolt guts last year, and could not find any Matt FISH!! Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984: "Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."
