Who does the best work on Remington bolts? I need two of them done, I'm sick and tired of failures--see my post titled "Another Reminton Horror Story." I assume that headspace isn't an issue--will they need the rifle also?

Whoever does the extractor work will need the complete rifle so that they can test and check feeding, extraction and ejection.

MOA,
Don't know where you live, but Rich Riley of High Tech Customs, Colorado Springs, just completed two Rem 700 short-action rifles with Sako extractors and long magazines for a friend and I. Give him a call.

Be sure to choose somebody with plenty of experience. There are a number of steps in the installation that can be botched quite easily. I only do it for myself and choose to sleeve the bolt snout as part of the installation. Some people just do the min. amount of machining and you may see problems with the case rim catching on the opposite side, sometimes.
