I sold a 700 SenderoSF 338RUM to a fella on another forum and he took it out and put a few rounds through it and the bolt handle came off. He alluded that I had "glued" the bolt handle on before. Silly me, I thought they were tig welded onto the bolt as I never had one come off. What say you ginsmiths?

I've been around rifles around 40yrs or so (3 of that in the Corps). Saw it happen once, and no, a Marine wasn't driving.

Lucky

I've seen a few of the Remington handles come off - usually when the guy is using a hammer to open the bolt. Ask the guy what his load was. Roll Eyes
