Hi what is available for rings on a sako l461 ?

I have a very old original set of Sako rings the are two long screws on the bottom and on top..Id sell them to someone if they felt the need, I have so much old stuff I don,t ever know where to start looking..I found a bag full of controls for a dove tailed sako. but look as I may I can't find that box of Mauser and mod. 70 extractors that so carefully put away, or a few springs and screws that fell on the shop floor several years ago, its amazing how far a small screw or spring can bounce.!!

There are Cone-trol and Warne as well. Neither are current product lines though.

The billet steel Warne QDs are pretty decent quality too.

Talley makes bases that use their Standard Rings. I think they are the best for Sako rifles...after using factory, Leupold, and

I also have a set of Sako factory rings. 1" low that are in excellent condition if you want those I can send pics.

I have Leupolds on several Sakos, and they have worked just fine.

There are many excellent mounts for the Sako Tapered Dovetail of the L461 (which also fit most other Sako actions). Here is a helpful pictorial of nearly all of the mounts available. http://sakocollectors.com/foru...unts-pictorial.9888/

Among the best are the original Sako ringmounts, which are now out of production but can be found on eBay and Gunbroker or from www.sakosource.com. But others like the Leupolds, Redfields, and Burris are also very usable.
