| It is accomplished by unscrewing the barrel and screwing on another one in a different caliber, but one which will work with the bolt head you have unless you want to switch bolts. As far as how to do it, there are many ways,, from using a vise and wrench, (doesn't have to be very tight). Or some sort of locking catch for the barrels, either a screw into the threads, or a catch on the bottom of the forearm. I do not have pics but if you Google takedown rifles you will see several versions. Winchester used to use a screwed in magazine tube on their lever actions. |

| The easiest way is to have barrels made to accept locknuts ala' Savage 110. Then just screw in the barrel against a headspace gauge and tighten the locknut. |
