Another question resulting from an imagination running wild today. How are fitted rifle cases made? I would love to find a source with detailed instructions and some pics. I saw one up close (a few actually) at a show, leather covered case, inside appeared to be all red suede. It didn't look like foam underneath, it looked like it was all maybe a thin wood covered in the suede? (I am thinking of the ACGG raffle rifle). Any info. is greatly appreciated. Red

Red, You old married man, the guild cases are done by Marvin Huey. He does all of them. I do not know how he does it, although I was told that the fit was so tight that he pounds them in to fit and not to checker it until he is done and that is the way I approached it. He covered our case for the #17 that I worked on with Cape Buffalo leather. The cost for the case was $3,000. Next year talk to Jim Dubell. He and his brother also build them and do a fine job of it.
