I have been conversing back and forth with the Montana Rifleman Company concerning some gunsmithing work that I am looking at having done and I have been greatly impressed with their customer service. Has anyone had any work done by them that can further confirm my high expectations that I am having?

Thanks in advance.

They barreled and matte blued a Rem. M7 action for me. They did a good job of bead blasting and matte finishing the barreled action, the blueing is good. I was impressed with the nice crown they finished the barrel with. The chamber is smooth and tight. The rifle shoots very well and produces groups that make me happy with it considering I am using a 4X scope. I did not spend a lot of time working up a load to get 1-hole, 5-shot, 100-yard groups. Rather, I worked on getting a 200 yard elk killing group of 1" to 1 1/2" groups.

BTW, the rifle is chambered for a 338-08.

They rebarrelled a M70 Classic in .300 Win Mag for me. I'm happy with that job. Their on-site gunsmith (I forget the name just now) has also done several (minor) jobs for me - thus far to my full satisfaction.
