Rem. 799, mini-Mauser. Anyone have a clue to finding one? (22-250 or 7.62X39) Rem. directs inquiries to EAA, who has an aversion to communicating with people. Never answered email or phone calls. Numrich, Sarco, etc no joy. I have made one from mild steel, will try Kasinite hardening of the claw. Or, perhaps making another of 4140.

Ken, That rifle was imported by Charles Daly prior to Remington. You might want to search on that name, as well. George

Might try Numrich. I just bought some parts there from the defunct 798. Looks like parts are selling out fast though. Good luck.

You are right! For some reason I read that as the 798. _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend, it is my life.
