Has anyone ever seen a older 1948-1955 Brno cz front receiver crest with just a very small CZ about the size of a pencil eraser?the action looks like a 98 mauser with stripper clip hump and thumb hole side,c ring, but the crest is just a small circle with CZ in it.Thanks for any info.

I've only seen that crest on pre-WWII actions. If you have a clip slot and a thumb cut, it is most likely from the late 20's or early 30's. During the late 30's, they went with a solid left wall, but retained the clip slot. Around 1942, they began using small ring 98's for their commercial guns. No thumb cut, but the clip slot was retained until about 1949.
