Looking for an inexpensive 270 barrel that will end up at 24" after whatever machining is required. It's for a Rem 700. Any ideas, fellows? - Dan

I just got in the shop a real good pre-64 (1954) 270 barrel. Could be bushed and rethreaded to the 700. 24 inches long with integral front sight and rear sight boss. I can find out what the customer wants for it if you like. The rifle has become a 6.5x55 and this barrel is surplus to him. Regards, Bill.
