Hi all,

I've been thinking about parkerizing a rifle (1974 M94) and was wondering if I could use my SS boiling tank? I don't have anything enamelled that long, but I don't know if the SS will absorb too much of the parkerizing or after use if I could still use it for rust bluing?

Thanks!

Mark

I use a stainless steel tank for parkerizing and have had no problems over the years.

Stainless is the way to go. If you use iron or mild steel you'll just end up parkerizing your tanks and wasting product.
