Hello Sorry to everybody for asking so many question but I'm getting ready to order a bunch of parts and I need to nail down what I want. My question is. Can someone post a picture of a Lothar Walther type "E" sporter contour barrel for a Mauser? They where originaly used on type "A" rifles. If you can't post a picture send it to me by email. Send me a private message and I will send you my email address. Thanks to everybody for your kindness to help me.

Don't have a picture but it may be useful for you to know that the E profile was for 40 caliber and up. It is kind of heavy for lighter rifles. I had Lother Walther reprofile one from the rear sight forward to the muzzle (same taper, different starting diameter) for a 30 caliber rifle under construction. Thanks for answering my thread. tiggertate It is a heavy contour. I will ask if they will turn it down for me some and shorten it to 24". Woodie said that he went through L-W contour archives and had them start making it again.I think he said it is a contour originally for a .404 Jeffery. manhasset I saw the drawing but it would help me to see pictures of it on guns. I hope to get some pictures. Thanks

Someone here had one made for a 9.3X62 and then posted photos. I think Satterlee was building the rifle. If I remember correctly the concern was that the 9.3 barrel may have been too light. The profile looked great and would be perfect for a classic mauser custom. ______________________________ "Truth is the daughter of time." Francis Bacon
