Remington's sporter version of the US Model of 1917 (aka 1917 Enfield).

Worth rebarrelling, probably worth more left as is if in decent condition.

What caliber is it?

Anyone have the skinny on this rifle. What are they worth, How many were made. Are they worth rebarreling etc. Thanks

Thanks for the pics and replies. I do not own one, I would like to. What is the going rate for an action in good condition assuming the rest of the rifle is pretty beat up? I want a 505 Gibbs Wildcat basically a 416-505 Gibbs. I do like the looks of the Enfield and they seem to be hard to find unbutchered. I don't want to take a military collectable and turn it into a sporting arm. How big are the recoil lugs on the bolt and Barrel shank thread size? Thanks

Depending on your personal inclination this action is worthy of .375 RUM or .458 Lott or .404 Jeffery or .416 Rem Mag. Probably the .505 Gibbs as well but I'm not sure about that.

It's a tool for your use...use it as you see fit.
