Tread lightly with the LocTite. Remington puts clear fingernail polish over the adjustment screws. Acetone & a Qtip will remove it.

I use "Head Cement" the stuff they use to tie flies. Be careful, the stuff smells really good! Like Airplane glue! _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. I use just a drop of blue Loc-tite. I spread it as thin as I can around the screws...

I use some really weird colors of nail polish that my daughters tossed out. Anyone can pick up some clear polish or Loc-Tite and cover up their meddling. I can tell at a glance if I was the last one to put tool to screw. Mike Ryan - Gunsmith
